A CCDMD manual awarded in culinary competition

September 23, 2020

Lexique cuisine et restaurationThe CCDMD is proud to announce that the Lexique français-anglais de la cuisine et de la restauration (French-to-English Culinary and Restaurant Service Lexicon) has been selected for the shortlist of the 2020 Taste Canada Awards in the Culinary Narratives category. Nearly 90 textbooks were submitted this year.

The book was designed and written by Diana Bruno, a retired teacher from the Institut de tourisme et d’hôtellerie du Québec. The Lexique includes over 14,000 terms, in French and English, designed to help food service and hospitality students to communicate accurately and confidently during their studies and internships and, later on, in the workplace.

Now in its 23rd year, the Taste Canada Awards rewards editors and authors from the Canadian French and English culinary community. The competition inspires and encourages readers at home and abroad to discover delicious recipes and diverse food stories written from a Canadian perspective. The awards ceremony will take place on Sunday, October 25, 2020. Gold and Silver award winners will then be announced during a virtual gala.

Our congratulations to Madame Bruno! And we wish her luck for the finale.
