The first official meeting of the Repfran network (network to advance the use and quality of French in CEGEPs) will take place on Friday, October 26, at the Hôtel Québec.
This inter-CEGEP meeting will provide a unique opportunity to discuss shared concerns and inspire efforts to develop successful interventions in college communities. The theme of the meeting centres on networking to more effectively advance the use and quality of French in the CEGEP system. All CEGEP French-language sponsors (repfrans) are invited to attend.
The members of the organizing committee for the meeting are Carrefour de la réussite coordinator Josée Lafleur; Repfran network facilitator Colette Ruest; Stéphanie Carle, repfran of Collège Montmorency; Julie Roberge, repfran of Cégep André-Laurendeau; and Dominique Fortier, resource development manager in the French Improvement sector of the CCDMD.
This new community of practice was established by Stéphanie Carle, a pedagogical advisor at Collège Montmorency, and Julie Roberge, a professor at Cégep André-Laurendeau. It is supported by the Carrefour de la réussite, an organization related to the Fédération des cégeps with responsibilities that include promoting exemplary practices for language development and improvement.
