The English-Language division of the CCDMD proudly presents the second edition of The Internet Directory for English Language Improvement. Based on the model of its highly popular French-Language companion, this updated collection of basic through advanced resources is for students learning English or using the language for academic purposes.

The Directory includes information for English as a Second Language (ESL) students and students writing term papers, among others. It also lists many sites that offer resources for teachers.

Most of the sites are Canadian or Québécois in origin. Some very good American, British, and international sites have been included, but only if their content is appropriate for the Canadian milieu.

Preference has been given to sites with multimedia tools that are free, easy to use, and possess demonstrable educational value. Sites with a number of grammar and spelling errors or broken links have been excluded.

To easily find the information you need, each entry includes a comprehensive annotation and icons that represent the format of materials to be found. In addition, specific learning objectives and themes are associated with each site.
